A1: Introduction
Hello, I am the author of this FAQ. This is my first FAQ. My name is CyberGlitch because I love glitches. I have a collected amount of nearly     all of the glitches in "Super Mario Sunshine". I also have explanations for some of the best glitches. I have had some help from "SerpentSnake",    he should get some credit.
------
A2: About the author
I am the class clown of my 8th grade class. I like drawing and I like going on the internet. I am awed by some glitches. I just love glitches. I  have a Gamecube, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Pocket, Nintendo 64, and a Playstation (yeah, I spoil myself). Mario Sunshine is the best game I've played in years! That is one reason I am writing this FAQ.
------
A3: What is a glitch?
By my definition, I'd have to say that it is an error that happens to a game when it is loading up data that doesn't exist. It is an error in programming, a bug.
------
B1: Flukes
Most people have experience these one time or another. A glitch that happens that they can't reproduce simply because it's random. It has happened on every level. Most of the time it's when someone is walking around and then they suddenly fall through the level and land in this blue abyss. They walk a few steps and die. I have seen reports of these on every level.
------
B2: Miscellaneous Glitches

1-
Spray Backwards:
Make sure you have the turbo nozzle. While spraying water press "X" to change to your Turbo Nozzle.  The nozzle charges up as usual but          when it is fully charged up water only sprays out of the back. Mario doesn't move, he just sprays the water backwards.
2-
Turbo a little bit with the Spray Nozzle:
While speeding with the Turbo Nozzle jump and press x to switch to the Spray Nozzle. You will still be speeding as if you had the Turbo Nozzle on until you touch the ground.
3-
Make the FLUDD look like it's talking during the victory dance:
While you are using the Spray Nozzle hold "R" and get the shine sprite.
4-
False Reflection I:
Go to Delfino Plaza. Go to the area where the lighthouse stands (Gelato Beach). Splash into the ocean behind the lighthouse and climb onto the rocky platforms. Then, go up the platforms and you will see a pipe. Turn on your Hover Nozzle. Next stand close to the edge of the platform, but face the pipe. Finally, use your Hover Nozzle into the pipe. You should see Mario in the reflection of the water when he is falling down the pipe, even though you are supposed to see the pipe.
5-
False Reflection II:
Go to Gelato Beach. Get the sunglasses and the tropical shirt on. Go to one of the giant mirrors and look at your reflection. The sunglasses don't show while the tropical shirt does!
6-
Go in a red cannon (not one that's unlocked):
Go up to one of the red cannons (which has not been unlocked). Jump above the guy and stomp. It may take a few attempts, but if it works, you should be in the cannon. If you look up, the guy's body will not be complete.
7-
Weird view of the "Shine Dance":
When you are getting a shine press "Y". You will see it in a first person perspective (kind of 1st person).
8-
Stick to the Sand Bird:
On the sand bird, when it turns vertical, do the dive with B button. Sometimes if you do it right you'll stick to the bird in the dive position and stars will fly everywhere.
9-
Make Mario walk underwater without using Yoshi:
When Mario first starts off in the Plaza, run towards the building in front of you (to the left of the fountain) triple jump, wall jump, and hover towards the building. If you did it right, Mario will fall right through the building (at the same spot where Yoshi falls through). If you keep jumping, Mario won't die, but if you stand still for more than 3 seconds he will die.
10-
Shortcut in Blooper Racing:
At Ricco Harbor, episode 2, the is a low wall right after the red cone hazard that you can jump over. When you jump over you arrive right near the end. When you cross the finish line run over one of the 2 remaining Bloopers. You continue going and the timer keeps going but now you are riding 2 bloopers at the same time! The graphics of the two bloopers overlap each other.
11-
Go to the room that has the book:
Line Mario up a ways back in front of the door. Then use your jetpack to propel yourself forward and upward. Aim for the blue cement in the upper-right of the door. Just before hitting the stone, release the R button and push Mario forward with the control stick. The game glitches a bit and Mario moves through the stone!

12-
Extra Crane:
Go to Rico Harbor and go to where the Void level is located (on
the very
left). Go below the secret area and talk to the man on the boxes. Then,
talk
to him ten times in different positions. Once out of the ten times you
will
see a crane halfway in the wall, but when you are done talking to him
the
crane will disappear. This can only be done if your have beaten Episode
7.
------
B3(a): The Yoshi glitches

1-
Dancing Yoshi:
Get Yoshi and go in the sewer system. Go below a manhole an tap A.
You
should go very high. After your near the top of your jump press "X" so
you
dismount. Yoshi should drop on the manhole. Look at him. It kind of
looks
like he's dancing.
Note: Sometimes it works bad and sometimes it works good. It may take a
few
tries.
2-
Spray while talking:
When you are talking to a civilian while mounted on Yoshi press R.
You
will spray water, not Yoshi's Juice, at them. Neither Yoshi nor Mario
move as
if they are spraying when you do it.
3-
Floating Yoshi:
Go to Gelato Beach, Episode 3, and get Yoshi. Go up to the second
floor
and leave Yoshi in the room that is behind the Sleeping Boo (right next
to
the door). Go downstairs and you can see Yoshi floating in midair.
4-
Floating Fruit:
Get Yoshi and eat a fruit. While the fruit is still on Yoshi's
tongue,
dismount. The fruit will be floating in midair. You can't do anything
to it.
Go back on Yoshi and run away from the floating fruit and press "B".
The
fruit pops up out of nowhere and is eaten by Yoshi.
Note: This can be done with other things like birds.
5-
Change the fluid:
Spray water while going on Yoshi. Notice that the water on the
ground
changes to Yoshi's juice.
------
B3(b): Walk underwater with Yoshi Glitch

What a glitch! This is one of the best glitches in the game! I
don't
know how anyone found this out! I have therefore created a section just
for
the Yoshi Glitch. The Glitch was discovered by Gamecube1118 (I
thinkâ¦some
name close to that). The Glitch is very useful to get to the pipe on
the
island with the yellow goo.   Ok⦠here goesâ¦â¦â¦â¦.

The Yoshi Glitch:
When you begin at Delfino Plaza you will see the three boxes in
front of
you near a wall. Get Yoshi and go back by those boxes. Follow that wall
to
the left of those boxes. When you see some open windows at the top of
the
wall stop.  Now back up and use Yoshi's spin jump so you land in the
middle
of the windows where the wall and roof meet. If you go at the right
spot (it
is above the open windows) you will fall through and under Delfino
Plaza. If
you stay on the ground at there for more than a few seconds you'll die
so
keep jumping! While you jump go forward so  you go under an area where
there
is water above you and spin jump so you get out of the area underneath
the
Plaza and land at the bottom of the ocean. Sometimes while you are
jumping
forward you will go in the sewers, it may take you numerous attempts to
get
to the spot that's under some water without going in the sewers. You
can walk
underwater forever (Yoshi will eventually disappear because he'll loose
all
of his juice). Pressing R when walking underwater won't fill your FLUDD
though. If you spray water on the ocean ground it will darken as if
your
spraying on dry ground. You can go out by jumping high enough so you
reach
air on walking up a shore (if you jump high enough to get to air when
on
Yoshi you'll hit the water and Yoshi WILL disappear. Once you go out of
the
water you can't go back in. You must perform the glitch from the
beginning to
get walking underwater again. While you are exploring underwater you
might
notice two invisible bumps. I'll leave them for you to find. Lets give
this
Glitch a moment of silence
â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦

â¦â¦â¦â¦â¦
------
B4(a): Pianta Possibilities
There have been numerous reports of people slipping down a tree
trunk
the bottom of a level but they don't die. They somehow land on an
invisible
floor. There have been reports of people actually slipping up tree
trunks.
People have fallen through tree trunks. I tell you, this level's
possessed or
something because some of the weirdest and most numerous glitches
happen on
it! This section is all about the level that was plagued by Glitches.
Pianta
Villageâ¦

B4(b): The invisible floor
I am currently looking into this.

B4(c): Other Glitches in Pianta Village

1-
Make Yoshi disappear:
At Pianta Village, with Yoshi, fall in one of the holes that have
cage-like walls. Jump off Yoshi when you're at the very side. When you but
stomp and flip the platform, Yoshi will sometimes fall through and die. When
you go back to where his egg is supposed to reappear, the egg won't come
back! Just reset the level to bring his egg back...
